A great opportunity has arisen for a temporary Special Events Officer to cover 3 month period for a cancer related charity in order to work on elements of the delivery of the London Fashion Show. However the role will also support activity across our wider special events portfolio.

Key Responsibilities will include:

To work closely with the Head of Events and the Special Events team to deliver the London Fashion Show, Carols by Candlelight and other Special Events to maximise the income raised.
To liaise with suppliers and contractors regarding event requirements to ensure excellent service and a successful event.
To maximise income generation and to be responsible for reaching financial targets.
Regular reporting to the Head of Events on progress of projects.
To act as the main point of contact for the marketing, in-kind support and print and design on the fashion show.
To deliver the marketing for the fashion show in line with the marketing strategy and brand values working with our design, marketing and database teams to reach our ticket sales target
To work with the database team on all mailings
To create and deploy all marketing emails and postal mailings for marketing and operational purposes.
To work with the charity MarComms and press team to promote the event on different channels and encourage attendance and awareness.

In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:

Experience of organising large scale Events
Excellent planning and project management skills
Experience of marketing events and growing event attendance
Experience of securing in-kind sponsorship
To secure and manage all the in-kind support requirements for the event.
To produce all printed materials and brand (the event programme, tickets, on site branding etc.) for the fashion show in line with brand values working with our design, marketing and press teams.

Excellent time management and organisational skills with ability to prioritise own workload, deal with conflicting demands and meet tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop excellent working relationships both internally and externally.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and methodical approach.
Initiative and creativity: ability to proactively identify and seize opportunities and find solutions.
The ability to operate in a patient and calm manner particularly when under pressure.
The ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritise own workload, deal with conflicting demands and meet tight deadlines.
