Position: Member Networks Specialist 
Location: Cambridge (Commutable from Cambridge North, Milton, Ely, Swavesy, Histon & Impington, Oakington, Fenstanton, St Ives, Cambridgeshire, Huntingdon, Newmarket, Saffron Walden, St Neots, Bedford, Hitchin, Stevenage, Bury St Edmunds and surrounding areas) 
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 35 hours per week 
Salary: £29,195 - £32,439 per annum plus benefits

About the role: 

Our client currently has an opportunity for a Member Networks Specialist to support and develop their networks in line with their strategy, manage the relationship with members involved with these networks and ensure that the networks add value to their membership. 

This role is based at their Cambridge office, and you will also attend regular meetings in their London office, and frequently travel across the UK to visit networks and attend events, with some overnight stays required. They could accommodate slightly earlier or later start/finish times and some working from home, subject to business needs. 

As Member Networks Specialist, your responsibilities will include acting as a central point of contact and overseeing the administration of RSC networks, reviewing network activities and examining the potential for establishing new networks, identifying, acquiring and reviewing services for member segments served by networks, supporting regional steering groups, committees and working parties as required, managing and developing a programme of meetings for members, facilitating greater interaction between all member networks, attending meetings on a rolling basis, developing support material and carrying out ad-hoc projects. 

About you: 

To be considered for this role you will have technical/specialist knowledge in customer care to support the networks and provide services to retain and add value to their membership in line with their strategy and departmental objectives. 

Excellent verbal and written skills and is able to network effectively and proven experience in a customer-focused environment is essential to this role. 

You will have the ability to develop a detailed knowledge of their strategy and the role that Member Services plays in its implementation and to apply this knowledge to support the networks. 

You must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of the networks and the breadth and depth of science represented through these networks and their activities. 

You may have experience of the following: Member Network Specialist, Member Specialist, Membership Manager, Partnership Manager, Member Services Manager, Strategic Partnerships Manager, Customer Care Manager, Member Network Manager, etc.
