We are pleased to be partnering with PACE (Play Adventure and Community Enrichment) a grass-roots charity who offer inclusive, high quality play and childcare services for the local community in North London. They are currently looking for a committed Manager for their relaxed and friendly Fairfield Play Centre which offers a wide range of services including afterschool and holiday play provision for children aged 4 -12.
As the Centre Manager you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the out of school childcare and play services, and will take responsibility for planning, setting up and delivering these services ensuring that there is a comprehensive programme of fun and varied play activities that are inclusive to the needs of all the children and young people. You will lead a team of 7 experienced play workers, maintaining a positive, committed environment which promotes the children's health and wellbeing, and will ensure that all staff and volunteers work in accordance with the organisation's values to ensure positive outcomes for all children and their families accessing the services. You will also work alongside senior managers to prepare funding bids for planned developments in the service, and will support with general fundraising activities to help develop and grow the service in line with the strategic vision of the organisation.
To apply for this role, you must be a strong, personable, experienced Manager, able to work effectively with stakeholders and develop positive relationships not just with your team, but also with parents, carers and the wider community. Having experience with children who have additional needs would be advantageous, as the service ensures that it is fully inclusive and works with children who have a range of disabilities. To be successful in this position, you must hold a recognised early years, childcare, education or play work qualification at NVQ Level 3 and above, and have a working knowledge of Ofsted standards and expectations. Overall, you must be approachable, enthusiastic and passionate about proving the highest standard of childcare.
