Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager
Corporate and community fundraising have been identified as strategic priorities for our client. This role will lead on the development and delivery of a strategy in this area and the building of a new team specifically focused on these areas. Managing 2 fundraisers, the post holder will hold major relationships with key supporters and oversee the teams work to build this income stream.
1. Development of corporate and community fundraising strategy and leadership of the team in delivering this strategy. This includes working with local businesses, schools, colleges, religious groups and other community organisations. This area also covers street collections and the hospice’s representation at local fairs and other events and includes responsibility for supporting supporters undertaking their own events.
2.Line management of 2 Corporate and Community Fundraisers whose role alongside the post holder is encouraging and supporting members of community groups, businesses and schools to take part in events organised by them through participating, raising sponsorship or volunteering. This role will carry their appraisals, objective setting, regular supervision of these two roles.
3. Leading on major corporate and community relationships and coordinating the input of senior staff, trustees and other stakeholders in the management of these relationships.
4. Representing the hospice at external events as appropriate, particularly local business networking groups and events involving local schools, colleges, universities and other community groups.
5. Oversee the development of f new project to set up fundraising groups for them, in which groups of supporters are enabled to set up their own independent groups who fundraise in their communities.
6. Within an overall corporate fundraising strategy, oversee the development within the team of a new Corporate partners programme, offering a range of benefits to corporate supporters and looking at options around sponsorship as a form of corporate support.
7. Keeping abreast of developments in the hospice and wider charitable sectors in relation to these areas of fundraising and bringing this knowledge into the development of strategy for them.
8. Coordinating the work of the two Corporate and Community fundraisers in increasing awareness of them, the care that they provide, and the opportunities for getting involved with volunteering and fundraising through making contact with new businesses, schools, and community organisations, and providing talks and information.
9. Work with colleagues in the Individual Giving team to ensure that web functionality for community fundraising is optimized, providing clear supporter journeys for those undertaking their own events.
10.Covering for the Head of Fundraising and Communications as appropriate.
11. To carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, the title of the post and its grading as requested by your Line Manager or his/her higher level of authority.

To participate in appropriate internal and external programmes.

Salary: £33,226-£34,597 WTE (depending on experience)
