Qualified Social Worker (Children and Families)
We are a rapidly growing charity seeking to accelerate change for those affected by brain tumours, which kill more children and adults under 40 in the UK than any other cancer. Our five-year strategy is ambitious and sets out plans to double survival from brain tumours and halve the harm they cause to quality of life. We are looking for a passionate, smart and pioneering Children and Families Services Manager to join our talented and developing team.
Every year almost 11,000 people receive the devastating diagnosis of a brain tumour, over 5,000 lose their lives to this disease each year. Nearly 600 of those diagnosed are children and young people - that's an entire primary school - and almost a quarter of these will sadly die. As the UK's pre-eminent brain tumour charity we are committed to change this.
We are determined to drive brain tumours up the national agenda, giving a voice to everyone affected by this devastating disease and accelerating the search for more effective treatments. We need the right people to join us to help do this. This is what one of our team has to say about working here:
"Working for The Brain Tumour Charity means more than just a job. It means an opportunity to make your role your own, to grow personally and to be a part of transforming people's lives. It means being a part of something incredibly special and incredibly rewarding."
