About the Role
The role of the Associate Director, Safeguarding is to lead the provision of excellent and robust safeguarding and child protection services within Achieving for Children.
As Associate Director you will lead on operational safeguarding, child protection and support for looked after children, ensuring coherence, consistency and standards across Kingston and Richmond in and between our three Cluster areas (Kingston, Twickenham and ).
This role plays a vital part in the continued development and maintenance of the hub and cluster model of service delivery, including empowering frontline staff and service users through genuine co-production and embedding the signs of safety alongside family therapists.

We have been up and running for four years, and in that time we have established a reputation as one of the leading children's services providers in the country. We are one of the Department for Education's eight 'Partners in Practice', tasked with leading improvement across the sector.
Our Safeguarding teams work directly with children who are subject to a Child Protection Plan, or who have Child in Need status, and their families. This will include Strategy discussion (open cases) Child Protection Conference Review; and Child in Need Planning and Review.
This is a great opportunity for a Social Care Practitioner who has established themselves as a strong Team Manager, looking to lead a service at an exciting time of change and develop their career in a Senior Management position.
You will have significant experience in child protection and the leading and improving frontline statutory children services. Being innovative and creative with how we can improve our services further will be a key part of this role.
