About the Role
We are now looking for a highly motivated and passionate Officer to join the Single Point of Access team (SPA). 

The SPA is the gateway for all incoming contacts into children’s services. The SPA ensures that consistent and timely responses are provided to all enquiries so that children, their families and professionals working with them receive high-quality information and, where necessary, support and protection from children’s services and other agencies or professionals. 

Through the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), the SPA works in partnership with the police, health and mental health, probation, and adult services to together provide the most appropriate response to concerns about children. With access to the electronic recording and case management systems used by , the SPA collaborates with partners in the MASH to gather relevant locally held information. This enables the SPA team to provide effective and timely referrals to our services.

As a Business Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing business support and administration to the SPA team. The role will be office based and will involve taking calls from external clients, writing and formatting reports and maintaining database information. You will be a key role in collating statistical data, financial statements and creating agendas and taking minutes for SPA meetings.

About you
We are looking for a ‘people person’, someone who wants to help children and families from the outset and who is passionate and motivated by the goal of doing all they can to achieve the right outcome for children and families. 
The successful individual will need to be a team player, to support immediate colleagues in the team but also supporting the wider organisation and workforce. 
You will need experience of meeting targets and managing a high workload, with the ability to deliver high levels of customer service and be a good communicator. It is therefore vital that you have the ability to get the right information and deal with calls and allocated cases efficiently and promptly.
