Senior Project Manager
A charity are looking for a Senior Project Manger for a Maternity Cover on a Part Time basis to support the Special Projects and Communications team to ensure that the Conference and Special Event Programme are delivered along with specific income generation activities. You will also support the development and delivery of the aims and objectives of the charity.
This is a very varied role and needs someone with strong project management skills, marketing and communications experience and ideally experience of managing events.
This is a 12 month Mat Cover contract and is 3 days per week.
-Strategically manage and support the successful delivery of a range of the charity's programmes including conferences and a range of other events adn week long programme with charities.
-Produce appropriate written materials as requested, including briefings, presentations, evaluations and reports.
-Support Project Officers and volunteers, providing day to day support, advice and guidance.
-Develop and deliver an agreed organisational marketing, PR and communications strategy, delivery plans, standards and evaluation for charitable activities and business development programmes
-Ensuring that all communication, internal and external, is of an appropriate high standard, and consistent with charity's brand and key messages.
-Produce press releases for the charity's activities for third sector press and local and national press.
-Develop a regular blogging content plan, developing content and securing relevant blogs from external sources.
-To work effectively across the organisation in promoting communications work, policies, campaigns and brand guidelines
-Devise and work to annual project budgets to ensure that all projects are delivered on budget and that accurate records and measurement of project performance are maintained.
-Contribute to the Voluntary income target by preparing and submitting regular applications and pitches to trusts and foundations
-Secure sponsorship for each of the projects for which you are responsible and contribute/support the sponsorship activities of your peers and the team at whole.
Skills and Experience required:
-Strong interpersonal skills with the experience of forming and maintaining high level networks with a range of individuals and/or their support staff.
-Excellent project management skills and expertise gained from organising a wide variety of events and conferences ideally
-Excellent marketing and communication skills and experience within a broad spectrum of areas including communications, PR, strategic use of social media channels and blog content.
-An ability to forward plan and strategically manage a team and their projects to achieve success.
-Excellent communications skills, including listening skills and the ability to share information clearly.
-The ability to negotiate with others to achieve objectives, whilst maintaining good working relationships.
-Ability to demonstrate initiative and have a creative approach to problem solving.
