Director of Fundraising
Thames Hospice

Our vision is quality of life, to the end of life, for everyone.

At Thames Hospice we strive to provide the very best palliative and end-of-life care to our community, giving dignity and comfort to those facing life-limiting illnesses as well as their families and friends.

The one thing that makes all our work possible is the generous support of our donors and volunteers. Each year we need £8m to deliver our services and over 70% of that comes from voluntary donations and trading.

However that’s not the only challenge we face. There is an increased demand for our services as people live longer and advances in medical care continue to evolve. Every day we have a waiting list for our services.

To continue to deliver on our commitments, we need new facilities and more capacity.

The Director of Fundraising will lead our £6m capital campaign to secure the remaining funds needed for our state of the art hospice at Bray Lake, in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

Beyond build cost requirements, the campaign is the opportunity to develop a fundraising legacy that will meet the ongoing revenue costs once the new hospice opens.

A relationship approach to fundraising is the key to the achievement of our longer-term fundraising ambitions. Relationships are the foundation for any hospice and it is only through deepening our relationships with our high value individual donors that we will achieve those ambitions.
