About the role:
‘End the Cage Age’ is Compassion in World Farming’s flagship campaign that seeks to bring about an end to the use of cages in EU farming through the support of national Governments and the European Institutions.
We are seeking a Campaign Manager to plan and coordinate campaigning on this front, with particular focus on a European Citizen’s Initiative (ECI) to secure 2 million signatures across the EU for a ban on all cages. This post in the organisation requires a passionate, experienced and creative campaigner who is able to construct imaginative and effective campaigns, and to inspire colleagues and, through their campaigning, members of the public and other organisations.
The work will be taken forward through team-working with relevant departments at Compassion and coordinating the work of partner organisations.
Key responsibilities for the Campaign Manager role include:
-Construct an imaginative and effective campaign, inspiring colleagues, members of the public and other organisations.
-Develop effective working relationships with all members of the Campaigns Team, Fundraising Team, Food Business Team and our European offices in order to be able to plan, implement and manage this successful campaign.
-Liaise effectively with our Supporter Engagement Team to ensure that we provide an excellent service to our supporters.
-Build and maintain good working relationships with other stakeholders.
Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and have sound knowledge gained in a similar position with a proven track record of leading and implementing a successful campaign along with a good knowledge of EU political institutions. It is also desirable that you have a knowledge of farm animal welfare issues. Strong writing and organisational skills and good attention to detail are also key requirements for this position.
This exciting post requires proven campaigning and project management skills and the capacity to travel internationally, sometimes at short notice.
