Crisis is the national charity for homeless people, working side by side with people to help them rebuild their lives.   
Head of Information Technology and Information Systems  
Based near Liverpool Street 

From decades of experience of working with thousands of homeless people, they know what's needed to leave homelessness behind for good. They use this experience to shape the services they provide and the changes they campaign for.  This is done through education, training and support with housing, employment and health and they offer one to one support, advice and courses for homeless people in 12 areas across England, Scotland and Wales.  
Every bit of their work is integrated, and all contributes to their purpose of ending homelessness.   
Crisis has grown significantly in recent years and is currently developing its next ambitious five-year strategy. The charity has invested substantially in its technology support and solutions during the current plan and now needs to develop and implement an IT strategy to support the charity’s objectives for the future. Crisis is also developing an organisation-wide data strategy. 
The role 
As Head of Information Technology & Information Systems, you will be responsible for leading the provision of high quality, secure, robust technology systems and solutions across Crisis.  Having invested in and implemented many effective IT solutions to date, they want to continue having an ambitious approach to their IT services and solutions across the business, to both enhance effectiveness and to drive improvements and efficiency.    
This role reports to the Director of Corporate Services but will work across all Crisis’ operations. The role has five direct reports and the team comprises 22 staff.   You will provide inspirational and pragmatic leadership of information technology services and systems across the organisation and deliver strategic leadership and guidance that will, in turn, contribute to the overall leadership of the business in line with the organisations strategic objectives.  
The role is based in London but will involve travel to Crisis’ offices across the UK.  
The person 
To be successful in the role you will need substantial experienced of leading a multi-disciplinary IT team and demonstrable experience of developing and executing strategic plans.  This role requires an ambitious and inspirational leader to enthuse and promote the potential of IT and IS across the organisation and , with an ambitious 5 year strategy in place, would suit someone who is equally ambitious to optimise current IT solutions whilst identifying  and promoting innovative solutions and ideas for development.  
You will need a collaborative approach within the role, working with colleagues across Crisis to ensure that the investment in technology supports all of the charity’s operations and plans. 
You will also need to be an excellent people manager – always keen to maximise and develop the performance and impact of your team to ensure the achievement of the charity’s objectives.
