Citizens Advice provides free, independent and impartial advice and information to help people resolve their legal, money and other problems. In the past year they have helped over 2.5 million people solve over 6.2 million problems. Their national network delivers services from over 3,000 locations in England and Wales. In 2015 they won Charity Times Charity of the Year for their work. Now they want to do even more.
As Head of Commercial you will be leading on their commercial and fundraising activities, responsible for developing their commercial offer and supporting their network of local Citizen Advice charities to fundraise effectively where appropriate. You will lead the development of new and existing business opportunities in the commercial sphere, ensuring that they develop and scale ideas which will provide appropriate levels of income with an organisational fit, which will ultimately make a difference to the lives of their clients.You will also retain oversight of the testing and development of fundraising activities within the network of Local Citizens Advice offices.
To be successful in this role you will be a commercially focused individual with a proven track record of generating income in a commercial setting.Â You will be progressive and innovative, and understand the environment they operate in, mindful of regulatory and reputational risks associated with commercial activities.
