A great opportunity has arisen for a Communications Executive for a health related charity in order to help support the smooth-running of the communications team. The Communications Executive will support the communications team as a whole, but will also work closely with the Brand Communications Lead in ensuring that the charity s brand, values and messages are reflected and promoted in all communications across the organisation.


Key Responsibilities will include:

To help promote the charity through numerous marketing channels including: social media, website, advertising and printed publications
To manage the charity s printed publications and co-ordinate stock
To project manage the charity s Christmas Cards and co-ordinate stock
To support the Brand Communications Lead in continually auditing and evolving the charity brand
To research and procure promotional materials for the charity staff
To write effectively across all media, internally and externally
To ensure the annual communications plan and campaign plans are maintained and updated on a regular basis in light of planned communications activity
To build and manage relationships with key external design and print suppliers and oversee production to ensure that the charity materials are cost effective and to a high quality
To support the Digital Communications Lead on social media monitoring, digital asset management, content scheduling, and website tasks
To gather and report relevant performance data, as agreed with the communications team, to help evaluate communications activity
To work closely with communications team colleagues to provide high quality support to other teams at the charity
To support the Communications Officer on monitoring the media inbox and collate fortnightly round ups of the weeks media news
Build positive, supportive and effective working relationships with colleagues across the charity

In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:

Experience of planning and delivering projects
Experience of working with Content Management Systems
Experience of working with social media platforms
Experience of working in a charity or not-for-profit organisation (desirable)
Experience of working with designers and external suppliers.
Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to tailor communications to a range of audiences.
Experience of using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator)
Excellent communication skills including face to face, phone and written.
Good understanding of charity/ third sector PR
Ability to handle sensitive issues
Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload whilst maintaining attention to detail
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
Strong creativity and innovation skills
Be able to communicate effectively with a wide-range of stakeholders
A good eye for detail and excellent proof-reading skills
Good knowledge of current digital trends in the industry
