Our client, a leading UK health charity, is currently recruiting a Head of Corporate Development to play a pivotal role in enhancing the overall success of the organisation and corporate partnerships team.

The corporate partnerships team is a key part of the fundraising division, and looks to maximise the income raised from partner organisations. The corporate team looks to build long term mutually beneficial partnerships with companies based in the UK, across a range of fundraising mechanics including charity of the year, cause related marketing, affinity, sponsorship, gift in kind donations, commercial relationships, and project funding. The team also works with the rest of the charity's fundraising and non-fundraising departments to support and grow fundraising income, raise awareness of the charity and identify more effective and efficient ways of working.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing the corporate partnerships team's strategy and operational plan for the annual planning process. You will be responsible for securing national and regional partnerships, providing ongoing performance management for the team and reporting and analysing monthly activity. In addition, using your outstanding market knowledge, you will ensure that the team are up to date with fundraising trends and ensure fundraising activities comply with legal requirements. This is an exciting time to join; your previous corporate fundraising and management experience will be pivotal to their success.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of writing proposals, delivering pitches and winning corporate partnerships with a £1m+ value. In additional, you will have a strong track record of leading a team, ensuring development through regular meetings, appraisals and identifying training needs. This role is offered on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover a maternity leave.
