Our client is seeking a Communications Manager with the passion, experience and skills to lead and implement a communications strategy that will raise the profile for females among key audiences, engage their supporters and support their work strengthening women’s movements.
Our client is a global women’s rights organisation working in partnership with women’s rights movements and organisations to transform the lives of women and girls. They strengthen and support women’s movements in our focus countries in Africa and Asia, and take collective active at regional and global levels, to ensure women’s voices are heard, their rights are realised, and their lives are free from violence.
As the Communications Manager will be responsible for overseeing the brand and all external communications, including understanding our audiences, developing and managing the website, commissioning and producing high quality content, managing our digital and social media activity and developing relationships with journalists.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of implementing a successful communications strategy, gathering content and telling powerful stories, managing a website and social media, and media relations. Ideally, the candidate will have worked with people and organisations in developing countries.
