Business Development Manager
Cartwheel Arts seek to recruit a highly organised, energetic and talented person, passionate about the arts and using creativity as a catalyst for change, to deliver our programme of Business Development.
Cartwheel is a resilient organisation which has sustained itself through the most challenging funding environment for the arts and voluntary sector in living memory. The fact that we are still here is due to our success in diversifying our sources of income.
At the same time the proportion of work that is commissioned, rather than grant funded, has increased steadily particularly through NHS and local authority channels. And we have developed an attractive range of training courses, several of them based around our popular wellbeing board ‘game’, Wellbeing Dominoes.
Cartwheel have been awarded a blended loan/grant by Greater Manchester Council for Voluntary Organisations Social Investment Fund, specifically to enable us to employ a member of staff for 2 years to drive up our commercial income in line with our charitable objectives.
The post is part time (0.5 = 18.5/37 hours per week) at a salary of £23,500 pro rata. The post enjoys a 7.5% employer pension contribution, with no obligation on the postholder to make contributions.
Based in Heywood but working across the region and further afield.
It is a fixed term post for 2 years. We hope the Business Development Manager will succeed in securing sufficient income to extend the contract.
Cartwheel Arts is an equal opportunities employer and we welcome applications from all sections of the community.
