Research Data Analyst
Our client, a leading London university, is currently looking to recruit a Research Data Analyst on a temporary basis to develop and deliver high quality data analysis, reporting and recommendations to improve the efficiency of the Faculty.
The Research Data Analyst is a pivotal post within the university's Research Development team operating across the areas of research evaluation, metrics and intelligence. The role requires a high level of data management, analysis and reporting expertise, the ability to manage a complex workload, take the initiative and work as part of a multi-functional team.
The appointee will provide key support for preparations for Research Excellence Framework (REF) exercises, develop and pioneer new metrics, develop, optimise and maintain research information systems, and work closely with academic and professional services colleagues within the department. In addition, the role-holder will support the wider activities of the Research Development team as required.
In order to be considered for this post, you will show evidence of expertise in the use of analytical tools in MS Excel, MS Access or similar, including statistical analysis, data presentation, reporting and the ability to effectively combine, compare and analyse multiple datasets. Experience of servicing committees, including experience of preparing committee agendas, papers and writing minutes is essential to this role, as is knowledge of the current landscape of research management information systems.
