A high profile Government organisation based in Central London


  • This is an exciting role helping to drive excellent corporate services (HR, Finance, Estates & Security) communications, ensuring staff are up to date with important information and engaged with any changes.
  • You will develop, deliver, evaluate and report on internal campaigns which improve staff engagement, bring about business change and ensure staff understand the direction of the department and wider government.
  • You will lead the design and delivery of a high impact programme of communications to engage the organisations colleagues in corporate priorities, and support the wider companies change programme. To do this you will work closely with the Corporate Services Directors and their teams.
  • You will need to find creative ways to elicit views and feedback from staff to ensure internal engagement and operational strategies we create are based on evidence and staff feedback.
  • You will report on progress and fine-tuning your approach through insight and evaluation will be integral to the approach taken for successful communications and engagement in this area.
  • You will build and maintain strong working relationships with communication colleagues in the directorate and partner organisations.
  • Work closely with Senior Internal Communications Advisers to identify synergies and opportunities to ensure strategies and activity align.
  • You will ensure the consistent and accurate delivery of key communications with defined internal audiences and across partner organisations.
  • You will work closely with the Senior Communication Advisor for Transformation to support change communications.
  • Profile

  • Be capable of developing and challenging communications and engagement strategies.
  • Be an excellent project manager - with proven organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise work.
  • Be an Excellent writer - with the ability to write effectively in all internal communication channels, adapting style appropriately between different media.
  • Have good digital knowledge - able to make effective recommendations about how the organisation should use online media in order to best achieve communication goals. Able to work with a range of media and guide team members on how to deploy them.
  • Have strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Be able to reflect upon and evaluate the success or otherwise of communications, and use these insights to shape future work.
  • Have strong planning and influencing skills with experience of delivering successful communication campaigns and day-to-day activity.
  • Have event development and management experience.
  • Job Offer

    This role is based in Central London paying £190 - £200 per day and will be a temporary contract running until June with the potential opportunity to extend.
