Legacy Engagement Manager

£30,368 to £35,727 (dependent on experience) + Vehicle

Home Based - Flexible within the London & South East or North regions

Ref: 8092

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. We provide, on call, a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service around the UK and Ireland, and a seasonal lifeguard service. With our lifeboats, lifeguards, safety advice and flood rescue, we are committed to saving lives.

Due to expansion within major giving at the RNLI, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Legacy Engagement Team with the responsibility to help protect legacy donations. Gifts left in Wills to the RNLI fund six out of ten lifeboat launches, these legacies are crucial to our ability to continue our charitable work into the future. The market is changing with many more charities and not-for-profits entering the sector and there is a huge opportunity on the horizon as legacy sector income is forecast to grow from a current £2.1 billion.

As Legacy Engagement Manager your role will focus on stewarding high level pledgers in the region and promoting legacy giving to staff and volunteers on the ground. This role would suit an individual who is used to building and managing relationships with high net worth individuals, has excellent communication skills and who is comfortable adapting to change.

We are looking a self-starter, with strong relationship building skills, who is enthusiastic, confident working on their own initiative and who excels at building networks internally and externally.

Location of this role is flexible within the London & South East or North regions, but the successful candidate will be required to travel extensively within their region to meet key stakeholders, and occasionally to Poole HQ for meetings. A willingness to travel (with some overnight stays and occasional evening/weekend work) is therefore essential, as is a full driving licence. A vehicle will be made available to carry out your duties.
