Rent and Income Advisor
Prospectus are proud to be partnering with a leading sheltered housing provider, striving to help homeless young people build firm foundations by facilitating their independence and integration into society. They are currently looking to appoint a Rent and Income Advisor to minimise customer rent arrears and provide financial advice to customers for one of their services based in Bromley.
Working as a Rent and Income Advisor you will work on a one to one basis with service users, promoting financial inclusion by providing welfare and benefit advice, and developing action and repayment plans. Your role will also entail ensuring that the project's "bad debt" yearly targets are met by providing accurate and timely reports on performance and debt levels. Overall, the primary purpose of this role is to implement the organisation's Rental Income Policy and Procedure for all service users with the aim of managing their money and helping them to understand their financial responsibilities.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of managing rent arrears within a social housing setting. Previous practice of basic welfare and debt advice and monitoring rent statements is essential for this role, as is experience of supporting vulnerable people to achieve independent living.
If you are interested in making a positive change and contributing to the financial independence of supported housing service users, please send your CV in Word Format (a cover letter is not required at this stage).
