Business Development Officer (part time)
Geese Theatre Company is an independent registered charity using theatre as a tool for education, rehabilitation and change. We present performances and conduct drama-based workshops in prisons, young offender institutions, secure mental health hospitals, community agencies, probation centres, and related venues throughout the UK and Ireland. Our theatre looks directly at issues that are important to people who have committed (or are at risk of committing) offences, their families and their futures. The company also generates income by delivering staff training performances and workshops for around 5000 professionals working in criminal or social justice, per year.
The position of Business Development Officer is a new post, which will play a key role in the implementation of Geese’s Business Plan 2018-22. In this plan, the company has set objectives for growth of its income generating activities, which currently accounts for half of its turnover. This post will drive these objectives, grow the company’s business with existing clients, identify new opportunities and generate leads to enable new and existing work to reach more markets.
We are looking for an experienced individual who is keen to transfer their skills to this award winning organisation, delivering valuable work with some of the UK’s most marginalised groups. The ideal candidate will share our company values and passion for the work we do.
