Interim Director of Fundraising

Prospectus is delighted to be working with Plan International UK, the leading international development organisation working to protect the rights of children on a global scale, as they search for a Director of Fundraising to join them on a six to nine month fixed term contract.
This is a high profile role within their Public Engagement Department, the team tasked with driving fundraising opportunities and raising the profile and influence of Plan’s work. The Interim Director of Fundraising will have oversight of a team of 65 ambitious and passionate individuals, all working to support children’s rights. This post will have a specific focus on Plan’s sponsorship programme and individual giving, increasing long term income from UK households and refreshing the child sponsorship strategy. Additional responsibilities will include implementing the overall strategy for the department, and supporting Plan’s business plan delivery.
Plan seek an individual with a blend of operational and strategic experience, able to see the bigger picture and steer the team as well as being ‘hands on’ when needed. As this is a very visible and ambassadorial role, the successful candidate will need to be an experienced fundraising leader, with a strong track record of inspiring a team to achieve ambitious targets. They will have exceptional communication skills, and will be confident at networking and influencing at a high level.
