Hours: Full time 37.5 hours / permanent
Salary: £27,784 - £29,191
Location: St Austell, Cornwall
We are working in partnership with Cornwall Hospice Care, a leading Cornish charity providing specialist care for adults who are living with terminal illness. The care is provided across two hospices; Mount Egcumbe Hospice in St Austell and St Julia’s Hospice in Hayle.
The charity is now seeking to appoint a Major Gifts Manager who will be responsible for Major Gifts and the development of this new area of focus for the charity. In addition you will manage, develop and lead the Legacy and Trust & Grants programme.
This is an exciting time to join the hospice as they are currently embarking on an ambitious, yet realistic fundraising strategy to develop and grow income. You will have the opportunity to recruit a Trusts and Grants Fundraiser. The successful individual will ideally have charity experience and will demonstrate:
- Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic plans and budgets to agreed targets
- Excellent project management skills
- Experience of personally and successfully soliciting high value gifts
- Experience of running successful stewardship strategies and campaigns
- Strong written skills with the ability to write fundraising copy that delivers income
- Line management experience
