Full description:

Are you willing to join the fight for more rights and better care for the one million Scots who are living with diabetes or at risk of developing it?

The condition is the most potentially devastating – and fastest growing – health crisis of our time. Diabetes UK has a new organisational vision of ‘a world where diabetes can do no harm’ and is looking for talented individuals to play a crucial role in delivering its new, exciting plans for growth.

This is an opportunity to play a critical role in building grassroots support in the East of Scotland. If you have a commitment to this cause combined with experience of working with individuals, voluntary groups, local organisations and businesses to achieve income targets, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you. You will get the chance to work directly with people affected by diabetes and their families. You will get a chance to develop your skills across multiple income channels from In Memoriam to Corporate.

You will need to be an experienced community fundraiser who is used to delivering to set targets while working independently as well as part of a team. You should be comfortable and practiced at motivating volunteers as well as delivering presentations to different audiences. The expectations are high but the cause is powerful, the mission critical to the health of the nation and the charity dynamic and ambitious.
