Eden brown are recruiting for a Personal Assistant to work alongside a disabled advocate. The contract will be a fixed term on going contract. My Client is looking to pay around £14 per hour for the right candidate. The role will be based in central London and you will be required to work Mon -Friday 37.5hrs per week.

You will be working with a full time wheelchair user. The role involves: taking notes; typing quickly and accurately; reading aloud; spelling proficiently;navigating how to travel around London as a full time wheelchair user, being able to input and extract information using databases.

The successful candidate will have the ability to complete admin tasks independently and be willing to support a disabled individual either directly or indirectly. You will be helping a disabled individual to carry out tasks for themselves as well as carrying out tasks on behalf of a disabled person.

Essential Duties of the Post:
oTo read aloud documents and materials in different formats.
oTo take notes/scribe by hand or on a PC, and on an iPad.
oTo use assistive technology a willingness to learn if necessary.
oTo ask for directions, read maps, use ITC to obtain travel directions.
oTo organise travel arrangements.
oExcellent time management.
oTo be aware of access issues in relation to the client.
oTo support client to access shops and eateries as necessary.
oTo efficiently apply excellent grammar and spelling to material.
oTo carry out all other reasonable duties as requested by the client.

The successful candidate will have the following essential skills:
*Educated to degree level preferably attended Oxford or Cambridge Universities or other Russell Group institutions
* High level of Reading and Writing skills.
