A new opportunity has arisen for a Porter Assistant to join an international business school. This position is being offered on a temporary to permanent basis.
Working collaboratively as a part of a portering and post room team, the post holder will support the maintenance of both internal and external areas of the organisation, including room set ups, office moves and processing of all aspects of mail and deliveries. As the organisation's Porter Assistant, you will assist in the preparation of events and functions, preparing lecture theatres for teaching, distributing deliveries and dealing with external signed-for mail and parcels.
Due to the nature of this position, there will be some heavy lifting involved, so consideration should be made for this when applying. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar capacity and possess good communication skills, both written and verbal, and have experience of working in a customer service environment.
