Supporter Acquisition Manager
Amnesty International is renowned and respected the world over for promoting and protecting human rights. Our staff’s dedication and talent has changed and saved countless lives so, as part of our Fundraising department, your work will change lives too.
About the role
Your role is to develop, grow and manage Amnesty International UK’s supporter recruitment programme; planning and implementing recruitment and welcome strategies that will meet our ambitious supporter acquisition targets.
You will be leading the acquisition team at a very exciting time, as we aim to diversify our core income channels and embed a new approach to innovation across AIUK. Your team will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of fundraising communications to the general public across SMS, telephone fundraising, outdoor, print and digital media, as well additional test channels planned for 2018.
You’ll already have significant experience of leading and delivering successful supporter acquisition programmes across multiple marketing channels. In particular, you will have a proven track record of managing substantial above-the-line and digital campaigns, with a solid understanding of media planning and buying to drive return on investment. Knowledge of telephone fundraising and/or prize led products will be an advantage. You will have an entrepreneurial and innovative approach, with a proven track record in recognising and developing key opportunities for new supporter recruitment and engagement.
You will have therefore successfully managed multiple projects and diverse project teams, managing substantial budgets (£1m+) whilst getting the best out of suppliers. You will have an excellent understanding of database marketing and segmentation, and the ability to present complex data to non-specialist audiences.
Our aim is simple: an end to human rights abuses. Independent, international and influential, we campaign for justice, fairness, freedom and truth wherever they are denied. Already our network of over seven million people is making a difference in almost every country in the world. Whether we are applying pressure through powerful research or direct lobbying, mass demonstrations or online campaigning, we are all inspired by hope for a better world. One where human rights are enjoyed by all.
