Communications and Engagement Manager - Science
Harris Hill are pleased to be supporting a health institute who deliver world-leading research, as they recruit a Communications and Engagement Manager, who will deliver corporate communications and build international reputation through robust media and news management and effective public engagement.
The organisation are looking for a communications specialist, who can distil complex science communications language into Lehman s terms. You will have experience across media relations, crisis communications and a digital understanding.
Working as part of a small team, the role is extremely varied. You will be part of, and lead on high-profile events and also line manage a Communications Officer.
In order to apply for this role, it is essential you have the following skillset:
-Degree or equivalent in biosciences or STEM subject and/or substantial communications experience in a technical/scientific field
-Media relations and crisis communications experience and evidence of reputation management in a complex environment
-Evidence of digital communications experience including using content management systems and social media platforms
-Evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with funding bodies, peer-review groups, government agencies
-Evidence of networking skills with the ability to build effective collaborative relationships internally and externally
-Management experience and professional development
This position is based in Surrey, so will you need to be able to drive.
