Hours: 37.5 hours
Job Type: Full time/ permanent
Salary: £22,128 - £28,746
We are working in partnership with Southampton Hospital Charity which helps to enhance the care and treatment of patients at University Hospital Southampton. They work with supporters to raise money and provide financial support to areas of the hospital service that lie beyond the scope of NHS funding.
The charity is now seeking to appoint an Events Fundraising Officer who will be responsible for managing the charity led events, provide support for the Head of Fundraising and be an active member of the charity team in securing financial support from all areas of fundraising. You will engage and maintain relationships with individual fundraisers, hospital staff and community groups.
The successful individual will demonstrate:
- A minimum of one year working in a charity role or voluntary organisation capacity. This experience must include working directly with members of the public and events organising
- Experience of working or volunteering in the charity or volunteering sector
- Knowledge of fundraising law and practises particularly in collections and gift aid.
We are seeking an individual with a flexible approach to working, a positive attitude to change and a ‘can do’ approach to problem solving. The successful individual will have excellent communication skills and the ability to present to a broad range of people internally and externally.
