Senior Events Manager
Leading UK Blood cancer charity Anthony Nolan has an exciting three year strategy focused on saving and improving the lives of people with blood cancer and blood disorders. We are looking to recruit a new Senior Events Manager to join the passionate and committed supporter engagement team.
Thanks to the incredible work of Anthony Nolan's staff, more than 600,000 potential donors on the register, supporters and volunteers, three people with blood cancer and disorders are given a chance of life every day.
But there is still so much more to do. The charity will realise its vision by keeping the ground-breaking scientific work and medical research at the heart of everything it does. The Engagement team works together to:
To raise awareness of the organisation and the vital work Anthony Nolan does;
To increase the number of committed potential donors recruited to the register;
To increase the amount of money raised to fund the research and donor provision needed over the coming years;
To increase the influence the charity has as an organisation.
The Senior Events Manager role is a broad and exciting opportunity to join an ambitious team putting the relationship with supporters at the core of everything it does. Line managing 3 Events Co-ordinators, you will be responsible for the delivery of key team events and steward a portfolio of around 50 of the highest value supporters and ambassadors. With a programme of 18 challenge events, gross income of £1.9m and around 1850 supporters, Anthony Nolan is continuing to diversity its programme for long term sustainable growth.
In addition to managing events in the programme, you will also have responsibility and the opportunity to work with other teams to contribute to this year’s organisation-wide project to continue to improve the supporters’ experience and income generation, from the events perspective.
We are looking for someone who has great experience of working in events fundraising, has a strategic and analytical mind, and also loves the hands on relationship management and project delivery too. With line management experience and a track record of delivering net income against budgets, if this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
