Major Gifts Manager
37.5 hours per week, permanent
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our Chief Executive and the Head of Major Gifts and Capital Appeal to deliver a £6 million capital appeal to support the new £18 million Hospice due to be completed in 2020. You will be expected to use your experience in developing relationships and securing major gifts to look after all major donor prospects up to an expected value of £100,000 with the aim to convert existing prospects into long term major donors of the Hospice. You will work closely with the team on those gifts over £100,000 to develop proposals and background materials. You will also be expected to research and identify new prospects and help to develop a strong stewardship programme to ensure the longevity of the major gifts programme.
You will need to be proactive and confident in engaging and building relationships with potential and existing donors and assertive in providing first-class stewardship which results in long-lasting relationships and sustained income growth for the Hospice.
Attention to detail, being organised and taking responsibility are all important, as is having a creative flair to develop proposals and adapt to varied audiences.
