Volunteering Development Manager
Based at our office in Aylesbury (could be partly home based)
Full-time (35 hours per week). Permanent contract, subject to target being met
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
The Lymphoma Association is a national charity which provides information and support to people affected by lymphoma – the fifth most common cancer in the UK. We also work with and support the healthcare practitioners who care for lymphoma patients.
Volunteers are central to Lymphoma Association’s ambition to reach and improve the lives of everyone affected by lymphoma. Essential to everything we do, we are committed to providing the best possible volunteering experience for everyone who gives time to the organisation.
This job is responsible for providing the support to develop and grow new and existing volunteer-led services across the UK. You will work with regional and national staff to develop all processes, systems and ways of working to ensure that volunteering service offers are scalable and sustainable.
With the necessary project management experience, you will be competent at managing a portfolio of work and identifying the capability and resources needed. You will be a good communicator who can build strong and collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders and work with people across all levels of the Lymphoma Association. You will also ensure that all developments are on time, on budget and in collaboration with a range of stakeholders, including volunteers.
This is a new role that is part of our continuing growth and development phase and we have been investing significant funds in new staff and resources to expand our reach and impact.
This post has been funded by the Roger Counter Foundation for an initial 12-month period and will be made permanent subject to targets and objectives met.
