Are you a successful, creative and passionate senior fundraiser looking for an exciting new challenge?

WellChild is the national charity for seriously ill children and their families. We fund programmes and services to make it possible for children and young people living with serious illness or exceptional health needs to be cared for at home instead of hospital wherever possible.

We are now seeking a senior fundraiser with significant experience in business development and new business to join our ambitious, high profile and fast paced organisation. With a portfolio of active charity partners, it is an exciting time for a talented income generation professional to bring their skills to source and create new and develop existing relationships with corporate funders – in addition to developing partner campaign concepts and creating event sponsorship and other income streams.

You must be able to demonstrate proven experience in securing major new business upwards of six figures in order to contribute to a team income target reaching £1 million as well as having the ability to pursue new income opportunities from previously unexplored sectors and to develop innovative proposals. Excellent account management including experience in developing long-lasting high value relationships and identifying and developing new relationships is essential and you should also enjoy prospect research.

Interested candidates will have outstanding communication skills with a talent for delivering enterprising, vibrant and dynamic presentations and pitches as well as possessing strong commercial and financial acumen. You will be accustomed to creating and delivering winning proposals and to achieving and exceeding income targets.

Applications would be welcomed from interested candidates both inside and outside of the charity sector.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified and experienced persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religious belief, sexual orientation or age.
