We're here to improve people's lives

Our aspiration is to be one of the best housing and care organisations in the country,

and as a national charitable organisation within The Guinness Partnership, we are well positioned to realise that.

At Guinness Care, our fantastic staff deliver over 11,000 hours of care every week, and as well as delivering a range of housing options for supported and retirement living, our care services also enable older people to live in their own homes. We’re committed to being an outstanding business – for our customers and for our employees.

Our new Director of Finance will be joining our executive team at an exciting and strategically crucial time. We are implementing a renewed service focus for older people and have ambitious plans for business growth. Working in the care sector is dynamic. This is an environment where organisations that succeed - work to the highest quality and value for money standards across a range of contracts, as well as proactively managing risk and being alert and agile to opportunity. So this role will suit someone who likes working at pace, enjoys shaping strategic direction and ensuring that resources are in place for delivery.

You will be a qualified finance professional with a track record that includes being accountable for advice given at Executive and Board level. A background in care is a must, as is an evolved leadership style that motivates and brings out the best across a dispersed staff team. You will need financial and management accounting experience including data analysis, long term financial planning and cashflow management. You will need to further embed a first class finance service across our business, so your people skills, ability to influence and your commitment to participate in collective corporate leadership - are all of particular interest.

This could be a career defining role in one of the country’s leading social housing and care organisations. You can contact Mark Glinwood on 07944 411484 or 020 3434 0990 for further discussion and download a pack at
