We have a fantastic opportunity for experienced supported housing professionals to join our team at an exciting time when we are expanding our Young People's Supported Accommodation Service (YPSAS). We are recruiting Young People's Support Workers to be based at a new supported accommodation facility for care leavers in Kingston that is due to open at the end of the year.

The Young People's Support Workers will work with care leavers to provide a range of housing related support to ensure they develop the necessary life skills needed for independent living and to maintain their accommodation.

These are extremely rewarding roles that will see the post holders supporting vulnerable young people to reach their potential and preventing homelessness, whilst having the opportunity to contribute from the beginning to a new service.

The post holders will be expected to work independently and assess and manage risk appropriately but will also contribute to the wider YPSAS, needing to be an excellent team player. The role requires experience working with young people and experience in a supported accommodation setting. You will also need to have excellent written skills, the ability to inspire, the passion to deliver quality services and a healthy dose of humour.

The post holders will be based at a new supported accommodation facility for care leavers in Kingston, due to open at the end of the year. The role requires weekend work and unsociable hours.

Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, candidates will be required to undertake a Criminal Record Check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
