We are thrilled to be working with Borderline, who provide support to vulnerable Scots living in London, to secure their new Fundraising Officer. In the last three years Borderline, in partnership with Scotscare, have helped 5,280 people and are finding that the need for their services has never been greater.
The Fundraising Officer will be responsible for identifying and approaching trusts and foundations and individuals to solicit funds for the vital support work that Borderline delivers to homeless populations in London. You will work with the two Churches of Scotland in London by regularly visiting church events, and will approach individuals in the Scottish community in London to gain their sustained and repeat support. Reporting into the Chief Executive and working closely with the Communications Manager, the Fundraising Officer will be the point of contact for all fundraising enquiries and challenge and special events.
The selected candidate will be a strong and engaged fundraiser capable of working across revenue streams in an independent, autonomous role. You will have experience engaging with individual supporters and submitting excellent funding proposals to a variety of funding partners, including corporates and trusts and foundations. Crucially, you will be a self-starter capable of hitting the ground running and working to ambitious income targets.
This is a fantastic time opportunity for the right candidate to step in and take ownership of the fundraising for the charity. Please apply by submitting your CV in Word format and a cover letter demonstrating your fundraising achievements and interest in the work of Borderline.
