Position: Governance Co-ordinator (Corporate)
Contract type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £21,789 (+£3,405 if based in London)

About the Role:
The Executive Office team provides support to the leadership of our client which includes the elected officers, trustees and directors who sit on their Boards/Committees and to the senior staff who coordinate the management of staff and resources to deliver the work. The team is responsible for coordinating the governance and democratic procedures across the organisation.
They are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and inspiring individual who will be responsible for providing administrative support to the governing boards/committees and democratic procedures contributing to the work of the wider team. The post-holder will coordinate board meetings and committees across the group governing entities and provide admin support to ensure their effective delivery and executive of duties, as well as ensuring the Executive Office provides outstanding administrative assistance to the members and volunteers of the group governance entities in particular the Board and sub-committee chairs.
The successful candidate will be educated to ‘A’ level standard or equivalent, and ideally to degree level. You will have relevant training or experience in a similar role. You will have knowledge of what excellent administration should look like and how to develop new systems to make things more efficient and effective. You will also have knowledge of governance structures and democratic procedures in either Students’ Unions or other Third sector, campaigning or membership organisations.
Additionally you will have organisation, project planning, delivery and administration skills and the ability to spot opportunities to streamline and improve processes. With enhanced skills in communication (oral and written) and with a good customer focus you will have the ability to deliver induction materials/key information to a group of people. Enhanced IT skills with a working knowledge of the full range of Microsoft office products is also essential.
Experience of working within a Third Sector membership / voluntary organisation would be an advantage, as would experience of working in a political or campaigns environment. Experience of working with elected officials / election procedures would also be beneficial.
