Clerk to the Trustees
2 days a week £50,000 pro rata
The Clerk to the Trustees is a key appointment for Westhill Trust and provides vital support and strategic leadership in the growth of the charity. With accountability to the Board of Trustees, duties include the day-to-day running of the charity, preparing agendas and regular papers for Trustee meetings including, amongst other things, reports on the charity's income and expenditure, investments and other assets. You will be producing regular risk analysis, good governance and compliance practices and keeping the Board informed on major developments within the sector.
Other duties include working with the part-time office manager on the initial assessment of grant applications and offering advice where appropriate to potential grant applicants. You will work in collaboration and attending meetings with a range of stakeholder groups and oversee, with the Executive Officer, the production of management accounts and financial strategy with investment managers.
With a background in or strong understanding of grant making, or a charity/voluntary organisation, the Clerk to the Trustees will be committed to providing quality service around grant making processes and managing an endowment fund. You will be a true leader, experienced at motivating and inspiring colleagues and stakeholders, while providing insights that supports the organisation's growth.
You will be dedicated to making a difference to people's lives through funding projects in education and faith-based cohesive activities. With up to date knowledge of current issues facing religious education in the UK and an appreciation of the Free Church heritage, this is a great opportunity for somebody with the ambition and drive to work in an organisation that makes things happen.
