Education Development Trust is an education charity whose sustainability depends on continuously developing business on commercial terms. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to work out of our Head Office in Reading taking responsibility for leading the global Finance function. This involves providing efficient and fit-for-purpose financial operations, robust internal financial controls and the commercial financial business partnering that enables the Trust to set and achieve the right strategy and associated business objectives.
The Financial Controller position is a key leadership role in the organisation, part of the organisation’s senior management team, attending Leadership Team meetings, interacting with Trustees and contributing to strategy development and business change.
The person we are looking for will be a qualified accountant with current knowledge of best-practice techniques in financial management of complex organisations (operations and control as well as analysis and commercial) and have significant post-qualification financial management experience at a senior level as well as extensive experience of managing a team of professionals.
