Donor Relationships Manager
World Land Trust (WLT) is strengthening its Communications and Development teams with two exciting new posts, offering a wonderful opportunity to make a powerful impact in an organisation committed to the long term conservation of the world’s critically threatened habitats and their endangered species. The Donor Relationships Manager will work with and inspire a small, dynamic and knowledgeable team in the UK. The second vacancy is for a Marketing & Communications Manager (details on the WLT website).
Working with WLT
WLT is unique within the conservation world. With a track record of 28 years it started as a vision for a new model of conservation and has developed its modus operandi without losing that vision, integrity and transparency. WLT has been instrumental in the purchase and long term protection of millions of acres working through its overseas conservation partners. You will have a sound knowledge of charity giving, ideally within the environmental arena and will need to work quickly to become fluent in the Trust’s work and its projects.
What you’ll be doing
The Donor Relationships Manager will be a very special person with the skills and experience to develop WLT’s relationship with its supporters at every level. WLT’s small development team consists of 2 staff members; you will interact with them and, in due course, take on some line management responsibilities.
You will be qualified to oversee the development and management of WLT’s CRM database (ThankQ), and will relish the challenge of mining the data to develop and maximise the WLT’s relationships with its supporters. You will have a proven track record in managing and developing relationships with supporters within the not-for-profit sector, and a sound knowledge of charity giving.
You will be outgoing and energetic, and enjoy engaging with people from all walks of life including existing donors and potential new ones. Integrity, commitment to the cause and being quick to learn are just some of the qualities you will need to demonstrate.
