Events Manager, Wales
We are looking for an experienced event manager, preferably with a background in event fundraising, to establish and grow our Challenge Event and Special Event portfolio in Wales. You should have a demonstrable background of delivering mass participation events and Special Events as well as an understanding of using insight and strategy to grow income. You will be an integral member of the Challenge Event and Community Fundraising team, working closely with the Senior Events Manager to grow event income across our newly developed Wales programme. Working on events such as the Cardiff Half Marathon and the inaugural Wales Young Supporters' Concert, you will have experience of generating income growth and driving excellent supporter experience through the delivery of event management.
You will have substantial experience of working with event companies and third parties, as well as process management. You will be an excellent communicator, confident in managing a portfolio of event supporters, delivering high value stewardship in order to increase lifetime value to Barnardo's. You will have a superb understanding of working with fundraising volunteers and the principles of community fundraising. You will use your creative skills and initiative to seek ways to improve our fundraising events offering in Wales. You will be confident managing multiple events, delivering them on time and working independently. You will also have experience in managing budgets, and creating strategies to grow income.
