Oxford High School seeks an experienced and proactive development and fundraising professional to lead on securing major gift income for capital campaigns and to ensure that stewardship programmes are in place to maximise income and engagement from existing supporters.

Our goal is to build a culture of philanthropy and generate the necessary additional income to fund the School’s Development plans. In particular, a transformation of the School’s sixth form facilities and art, design and technology provision. To help achieve this, you will play a key role leading fundraising campaigns and generating philanthropic funds by engaging with donors and developing strategies to secure major gift income from a portfolio of current and potential donors.

You will have proven experience in project management and a significant track record of professional achievement in fundraising is essential. The successful candidate should have experience in major gift fundraising and in managing senior volunteers.

Key to the role will be exceptional public speaking and presentation skills, the ability to communicate effectively in writing and an ability to respond appropriately to pressure, deadlines, and changes in priorities and schedules.
