Communications Executive – The Role

You will execute major public communications projects designed to reach and engage the public, mobilise support for our campaigns, raise funds and awareness of the issues facing our planet.

You will provide day-to-day operational support for specific campaigns and activations. This will involve planning and executing campaigns, carrying out research, delivering briefings and writing copy.  You will also gain valuable experience managing events, pitching to media and building social media plans. Important too will be the ability to monitor and evaluate campaign activity as well as make recommendations to enhance future performance.

In addition to managing supporter journeys across email, social media and events we will look to you to identify new and innovative ways to engage our public audiences.

Communications Executive – Requirements

You must have experience in a communications role and been involved in executing large scale PR, social media and marketing campaigns. You will have produced content, worked with CMS/web editing tools as well as photoshop. You will be able to prioritise workloads and operate to tight deadlines too. Highly organised you will have excellent communication and relationship building skills. Experience of Google Analytics, Hootsuite and Hashtracker would be helpful but full training will be given.

Who are we?

WWF believes in a future where people and nature thrive.

Best known as the world’s leading conservation body, we’ve seen first-hand how wildlife, the environment and human activity are all interlinked.

That’s why our passion for safeguarding the natural world has to be backed up by other environmental action – tackling the global threat of climate change (through our big global campaigns like Earth Hour) and helping people to change the way they live to ease pressure on natural resources.

WWF is at the heart of global activities in all these areas. We have teams of highly skilled professionals working with governments, businesses and communities here in the UK and around the world.
