Our client is an award winning small housing association which operates throughout Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.
They are seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to ensure that an adequate supply of trained volunteers is available to meet the needs of the Health and Wellbeing service, enhancing the support services to customers.
Building and maintaining community connections and relationships will be an integral part of this post. You will be responsible for recruiting and placing volunteers to help clubs, activities, fundraising events and the promotion of support services to ensure the provision of volunteers to support individuals and community groups.
Other duties include managing and coordinating volunteer and student placements.
You will additionally ensure that volunteers are adequately trained to carry out their duties, prepare all necessary paperwork at commencement of their role, manage performance and ensure all operate within agreed policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will possess level 3 English and maths and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of good practice in working with volunteers. Proven experience of delivering services using volunteers, as well as being IT literate.
Due to the nature of the role a full and current driving licence, and daily use of a car insured for business purposes is required.
A standard disclosure and barring service (DBS) check is required.
