Data Protection Manager
WaterAid is looking for a Data Protection Manager to play a vital role in our mission to transform lives with clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene in the world’s poorest communities.
Are you experienced in data protection? Would you be able to use your expertise to manage WaterAid’s GDPR compliance, holding the project manager to account and advising a variety of key stakeholders?
WaterAid is committed to data protection and security ensuring that we promote best practice and are fully compliant with GDPR requirements. This role will work cross-organisationally and will also be required to ensure that our international programmes are handling data correctly. You will use your influence and change management skills to strengthen project outcomes and drive data protection awareness and a compliance culture. You will achieve this through working collaboratively with all staff and engaging a wide range of stakeholders.
You will have experience and expert knowledge on data protection, PECR and GDPR. You will have ideally worked for a not-for-profit before and will be committed to WaterAid’s aims and values.
You will be approachable, highly articulate and able to adopt a pragmatic approach. You will also need to be a confident presenter, and comfortable providing advice on complex technical data matters to non-data experienced staff as well as senior management.
