Role Description:

This is an exciting new role in a new charity for an experienced fundraiser. You will play a vital role in the creation and implementation of a fundraising strategy that focuses on building quality relationships to maximise income sources. You will also nurture existing and potential supporters to ensure that they feel valued and appreciated.

The Illustrious Foundation was founded in 2017 by Livewell Southwest, a Community Interest Company based in Plymouth www.livewellsouthwest.co.uk.  It was formed following a number of legacy gifts made by patients to Livewell Southwest. The Charity intends to fund initiatives, based in Devon and Cornwall that will make a positive impact and influence on the community or on specific groups of individuals within a community. Current funding priorities are for projects or initiatives that will improve health and wellbeing, prevent Ill-health or reduce social isolation.

The person we are looking for has a track record of setting up successful fundraising initiatives, is a self-starter who enjoys managing multiple projects simultaneously and has the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders from many different backgrounds. The fundraiser will be expected to create opportunities for different sources of funding; running events, achieving sponsorship, grant applications, creating sustainable income sources as well as developing a legacy fundraising programme.

Whilst the role is autonomous, you will work with a small dynamic marketing and communications team, cross fertilising ideas and activities with Livewell Southwest CIC. You will work closely with the community and voluntary sector as well as Livewell staff across West Devon, South Hams and Plymouth.
