Salary: AFC Spinal Point 45-48 (£41,898 - £44,751 per annum)
Achieving for Children (AfC) was launched on April 1, 2014 and is jointly owned by Kingston and Richmond councils to provide children's services across the two boroughs. This is a first nationally, putting AfC at the forefront of service re-design. The Community Children's Nursing Service forms part of the health funded provision, with the therapy team, paediatricians and clinical psychologists within the Integrated Disabled Children's Service, based at the Moor Lane Centre in Chessington. The health teams work alongside social care colleagues, family support workers, participation and short breaks providers in offering to services from a co-located specialist centre. There are excellent joint working practices in place.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced children's nurse to lead and manage the community nursing team with nurses based in multiple locations (Moore Lane Centre, Bedelsford and Dysart special schools in Kingston).
We are looking for a dynamic nurse with excellent communication skills and specific qualifications in children's nursing, who has the ability to manage a team and lead them as we move forward. The nursing team is a supportive, dynamic and innovative team and there are excellent opportunities for professional development and joint working.
