12 month FTC

Harris Hill are working with a national health charity, who are recruiting a Marketing Lead, to focus specifically on the strategic development and project delivery of their sporting events.

You will lead the development and implementation of the Events Marketing and Stewardship strategy to inspire participants to fundraise for the charity and raise sponsorship to meet and exceed income targets.

Key responsibilities will include:

-Lead, motivate, develop and recruit a team of expert marketers to deliver high budget marketing campaigns.
-Create and deliver sound insight to understand the events audience base and their motivations
-Appoint and work with great creative and media agencies to create gold standard, responsive creative, which meets best practice guidelines.
-Devise an Events Marketing Strategic Plan
-Work with Head of Events and Program Leads to develop the department business plans and the wider fundraising strategy
-Set and oversee significant budgets for the Marketing and Stewardship Team, ensuring these are linked with overall department and wider fundraising budgets
-Lead on pitching for additional investment for activity and-buy-in from key partners internally and externally
-Build a network of relationships within the charity and events sectors to ensure Events are at the forefront of industry developments and best-practice

Person specification:

-Educated to degree level or equivalent
-IDM Diploma in marketing or equivalent
-A proven track record of working in a fast moving marketing team
-Experience of working with customer service teams highly desirable
-A track record of achieving KPIs
-Management of large expenditure budgets
-Experience of effectively working with internal stakeholders and external agencies to achieve desired outcomes
-Experience of working with complex databases and datasets
-Line-management experience and an ability to develop team members

Previous charity experience is not essential, however a strong marketing background, and a passion for events is necessary!
