Who we are
Achieving for Children is a community interest company providing children's services for the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. The vision for Achieving for Children is simple: by putting children and young people at the heart of everything we do, we will be able to deliver improved outcomes for families and give children and young people the best start in life. There is one part time post available; 3 days a week and will work with Kingston children and young people. The post holder will be based at Moor Lane in Chessington.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a transformational and progressive multi disciplinary mental health team of Clinical Psychologists, Counselling Psychologists, Systemic Family Therapists and Art Psychotherapists. The post holder will join our Emotional Health Service, which is operational at Tier 2 CAMHS. The service supports children, young people and families across Richmond and Kingston upon Thames. This role will sit within The Integrated Service for Children with Disabilities and will specifically be focused on the Social Communication Assessment Service (SCA). The role will be an integral part of the SCAT and contribute to the multi-disciplinary assessment of Autism Spectrum Conditions for under 5s and for those over 5 with a learning disability. The role will involve undertaking diagnostic interviews with parents and administering the ADOS assessment and we would welcome applications from those who have experience and skills in these processes. The role will also act as a psychology resource for more complex cases where a psychology perspective is required. In addition some post-diagnostic work will be available as part of the wider EHS team for Children with Disabilities.
The Service works to improve the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children, young people and families across the boroughs of Richmond and Kingston.
