We are seeking an experienced Policy and Research professional to shape and manage a research programme that delivers on strategy for policy, practice and income generation.
You will be responsible for maintaining a clear, distinct and viable role for this membership organisation in planning research, including developing its role as a guider and influencer of public policy, research and its dissemination.
Your remit will include providing research and information support to the policy and practice work across the UK and Ireland and internationally, advising on the implications of research outputs for policy and practice, and responding to the research and information requirements of policy development.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven background in developing policy, ideally in the not for profit sector, along with a keen mind that can assimilate complex information into workable and transparent recommendations.
Among your key strengths will be understanding a variety of research methodologies including issues of validity, reliability and transferability of research; the ability to develop research questions to address complex policy issues; strong communication skills, and ability to deliver effective presentations at senior level; and the ability to identify policy relevant messages from research/evidence sources.
